The school calendar lists "Girls basketball team played Alpha" on Sept. 19, 1922." No other information was provided. The boys' basketball team played two games. It was noted that for the boys' first game, it 'was the first time our team played on a floor, they were defeated.'
A girls volleyball team was organized and played the team from Sioux Valley "at the field and Track meet in Jackson." Petersburg won a silver trophy.
Petersburg became part of Jackson County Central.
