"The Garden City cagers were awarded a trophy and Rapidan received a basketball.
"Start Even
Last night's game, attended by a large number of fans from Garden City and Rapidan, found the two teams battling on about even terms for the first half. Rapidan took the lead in the first quarter, which closed with the score five to four. Garden City tied at the halftime, when the score was seven all.
"Garden City begn to gain in the third quarter and in the fourth ran completely away from Rapidan.
"Rapidan was the victim of hard breaks on shootings, but Garden City proved accurate in this respect, on one occasion making four out of five tries, two of them from half-way out on the floor. Stiles exhibited unusual skill in making such long shots."
The photos are on display in the cafe, Formerly Cranes, in Garden City.
