The following information was provided from the school yearbook: "A free throw tournament was conducted by Miss Peterson during the year of 1927 and 1928. The Granada team tied for third place in the international free throw tournament for girls. A team from North Carolina and a team from Japan won first and second respectively. the Granada team consisted of five girls, namely: Clarice Anderson, Helen McCleary, Amy Mead, Shirley Harper, and Muza Eisenbarger. Clarice Anderson making an individual score of 33 points out of a possible 45, ranking sixth place in the individual international contest."
